Autonomous Agent Guide
Driving the engine with Claude Code, Antigravity, or Cursor using AGENTS.md.
Shotrunner is designed to be directed autonomously by AI coding agents. Every CLI tool is deterministic, returning clear gate output and structured exit codes.
Supported AI Agents
Any agent environment with terminal execution and file editing capabilities can orchestrate the pipeline:
- •Claude Code
- •Google Antigravity
- •Cursor
- •OpenHands
- •Windsurf
- •GitHub Copilot Workspace
AGENTS.md Orchestrator Rules
The root AGENTS.md file instructs your agent on state transitions and subagent spawning:
- •State Ledger Check: Read
series/<series>/logs/<slug>.logbefore executing. Never re-run a stage marked as PASS. - •Parallel Subagent Spawning: After Stage 02 PASS, spawn the Audio Subagent (03 → 04) and Visual Subagent (05 → 06 → 07) concurrently.
- •Automated Self-Correction: On gate failure (e.g. word count, missing phoneme), read stderr, repair the file, and re-run (max 2 retries).
- •Upload Permission Gate: Never upload to YouTube without asking for explicit user confirmation first.
